ProGuard-1 (level)

Principle of operation:

This entry-level one-circuit protection device is designed to monitor engine coolant level by using water level probe or floating switch. The device is powered from IGNITION positive terminal. Uses a starter voltage or RPM signal for detecting the start of the engine.

On power ON – the unit provides a single beep and the orange LED flashes once shortly.

On engine start – it provides two short beeps.

In event of low coolant level, the orange LED will be illuminated but the unit will not trigger an audio alarm during the first 5 seconds. At the end of this 5 seconds period, if the coolant level goes back to normal, the orange LED will go OFF and the alarm will be ignored, but if the coolant level is still low – the unit will provide an audio warning for 30 seconds (the orange LED will be flashing) prior cutting OFF the engine. After engine is cut-off the audio alarm will sound for 15 seconds and there after will provide three short beeps every 15 seconds until ignition is turned OFF. The engine can be restarted immediately, providing the coolant level is normal, otherwise the unit will shut the engine OFF again.
